Introduction to the QNI resource library
The Queen’s Nursing Institute holds a range of historical material in the form of books, papers, photographs, Institute records and examples of nursing equipment at its headquarters at 3 Albemarle Way, London EC1V 4RQ.
Historians, researchers, scholars and students are welcome to visit the QNI to use these reference materials: we regret that materials cannot be borrowed and removed from the premises.
The materials available are listed below in the following formats, to assist you in identifying material you might want to look at:

The bulk of the historical material relating to the Queen’s Nursing Institute, and its role in the development of both district nursing and midwifery, is held at the Wellcome Institute at the Gibbs Building, 215 Euston Road, London NW1 2BE. A full index of materials held at the Wellcome and elsewhere is available at the QNI headquarters.
