Elizabeth, a 43 year old Health Visitor suffering from breast cancer endured a number of disabling side-effects from her drug treatments, which prevented her from returning to work. When Elizabeth’s boiler broke down not only was she left without hot water for herself and her two children, but without the means to pay for its repair.
We were able to award Elizabeth £1,875 for a new boiler. Elizabeth’s health is improving and she is hoping to be able to resume work in the very near future.
