Why not enjoy a short visit or a long day out at a National Gardens Scheme garden and show your support for one of the QNI's major funders.
Visit our District Nursing 150 website, a celebration of the vibrant one hundred and fifty year history of District Nursing in the UK.
The Medical Advisory Service provides telephone helplines run by specially trained nurses who advise callers on many aspects of healthcare.
Disability or illness prevents these nurses caring for patients in a clinical way in the NHS, and nurses are retrained to work on helpline projects. They then continue to work with patients using their years of experience and knowledge.
To find out more about their helplines visit http://www.medicaladvisoryservice.org.uk/page2.html . Please note that different helplines operate at different times and have different numbers so we have not listed them all here.
If you are a nurse who is interested in volunteering for the charity on a helpline, please contact them on 020 8995 8503 or email info@medicaladvisoryservice.org.uk .
