'Opening Doors' Project

This two year project (2010-2012) aimed to improve the health of homeless people and families, with a particular reference to substance misuse. This was done via our national network of over 700 nurses and other health professionals that work within homelessness.

The project gave health professionals working with the homeless access to:

  • At least two FREE workshops per year. Click here for more information
  • At least two new and innovative guidance notes per year that will provide practical tools and tips to make your job easier – written by nurses for nurses
  • A monthly e-newsletter full of news, events, new publications and best practice
  • The opportunity to network with other people to share ideas and information and get the answers you need
  • The chance to take part in consultations about changes in services

If you would like more information, please email sheena.frempong@qni.org.uk or 020 7549 1402.
