This year, why not enjoy a day out at a National Gardens Scheme garden - you'll be helping fund the QNI too!
Providing vital funding for projects that help improve patient care.
Visit our nursing heritage website, a celebration of District Nursing around the world since 1859.
Policy is a key activity for QNI. We work to influence decision makers across England, Wales and Northern Ireland on health care policy including primary care, public health, nursing education, regulation and skill mix and issues such as services for homeless people and reducing health inequalities.
We do this by campaigning, contributing to stakeholder meetings, responding to national consultations, and providing examples and information to policy-makers.
The QNI’s Right Nurse, Right Skills (RNRS) campaign, which attracted nearly 4,000 signatures and support from patients, carers and nurses, is delivering results.
Following an admission from the Department of Health that it had not prioritised community nursing in the same way as health visiting and school nursing, the QNI has now helped the Department create a workplace model for district nursing.
