How to Apply

We are looking for local projects that aim to improve the care of patients and to enhance the leadership skills of nurses. Projects can be led by community nurses, midwives or health visitors.

Grants of up to £5000 are available, in addition to a full year of professional development and support. All project leaders benefit from our unique and highly-rated developmental workshops. The programme aims to achieve sustainable innovation in services, and a new cohort of confident nurse leaders for the future.

The Application deadline for projects starting in 2013 is 17 October 2012.

We look for projects that demonstrate:

  • New and innovative ways of working
  • User involvement in the development of the project
  • Multidisciplinary working
  • Measurable outcomes.

We expect all our project applicants to involve patients, carers or clients in the design of their project.

For more information and to request an application form, please contact Anne Pearson on 020 7549 1409 or email anne.pearson@qni.org.uk

We are grateful to our funding partners: The Burdett Trust for Nursing and The National Gardens Scheme, without whom this work would not be possible.
