Improving Care

The QNI campaigns for excellent nursing care in the home for everyone who needs it.

We improve nursing in the home by:

  • Through our Queen's Nurses, helping them to make improvements in practice and to act as leaders and role models to others
  • Funding projects led by nurses that improve care for patients
  • Influencing healthcare policy in England, Wales and Northern Ireland

Who do we help?

Our beneficiaries include children and young people, people with physical and mental disabilities, people with long term conditions, older people and vulnerable groups. We also provide assistance to community nurses in financial or personal difficulty.

We also help those who are homeless or who do not have a secure home, though our Opening Doors programme.
