School Nursing

School nurses provide a wide variety of services, such as giving health and sex education in schools, carrying out developmental screening, undertaking health interviews, and administering immunisation programmes. School nurses can be employed either by the local health authority, primary care trust, community trust or sometimes by the school itself.

We will shortly be adding a more detailed description of the work of a real school nurse.
