Drinking alcohol during pregnancy can be very harmful for the unborn child. The only really safe way for a mother to protect an unborn child, or during breastfeeding, is to avoid alcohol altogether.
The charity NOFAS-UK has recently published new guidance on Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.
