The QNI Homeless Health Initiative
The Homeless Health Initiative (HHI) was piloted with funding from the Big Lottery Fund until June 2010. It offered support to all community nurses, health visitors, midwives and other health professionals working with people without a secure home. Through its initial 3 years the project established:
- An active network of over 600 Homeless Health Nurses and Health Professionals
- Resources and guidance on good practice in homeless health
- Local Network leads
- Oportunities for professional development, regular updates and information sharing
This network has now become an established part of the Queen's Nursing Institute, with many going on to become Queen's Nurses. To contact someone in your area click on the local network pages or join the QNI Online Forum at www.qniforum.org.uk
To receive further information or sign up to the network, please email Barbara Walsh.
