Influencing Policy
The QNI is committed to giving community nurses a voice on national policy that affects them.
We work to influence Government policy on changes to NHS organisations, primary care, nursing education and issues such as services for homeless people and reducing health inequalities.
We do this by contributing to stakeholder meetings, responding to national consultations, taking up issues raised by local projects where it appears they may have wider significance, and providing examples and information to policy-makers.
In August 2009 we launched an online forum in order to facilitate discussion among community nurses. The forum is at www.qniforum.org.uk .
