Party in the Port!
Celebrating 150 years of district nursing: 1859 - 2009
The Party in the Port took place on 3 December 2009 at the Port of Liverpool Building in Liverpool.
It featured:
- an address by William Rathbone - great-great-grandson of the founder of district nursing
- a new exhibition of photos of nursing throughout the ages
- a demonstration by two Liverpudlian nurses - one dressed in 1970s uniform - on how nursing has changed in the past 3 decades
and much more, including a raffle and live music!
