Social Enterprise
The use of social enterprise as a business model for the delivery of health services has been much talked about in recent years.
The QNI believes that nurses need information about what social enterprise is, who is doing it and how in order to understand what is going on around them. The information on these pages is designed to provide that insight, whether you are interested in setting up a social enterprise, you wonder if you might end up working for one – or you are just keen to be better informed.

On 20th November 2009, QNI and the Department of Health held a workshop for members of the QNI’s Community Nurse forum to explore the issue of social enterprise in health care.
