Queen’s Nurses
The title of Queen's Nurse (QN) is open to individual nurses who want to demonstrate their commitment to patient-centred values and continually improving practice.
Achieving the Queen's Nurse title enables nurses to join a growing network of like-minded nurses, marking the beginning of a process of learning and leadership.
The QNI believes in supporting innovation and best practice in primary care, in order to improve care for patients in the community. We believe that one way to do this is to link together community nurses who share these values, with a shared professional identity.
All Queen's Nurses can participate in the free learning and development programme with the QNI. For more information about the opportunities available, click here.
For information about upcoming and previous meetings and workshops for Queen's Nurses, click on Queen's Nurses Meetings in the left hand menu.
Nine Queen's Nurses are involved at national level, representing the QNI and influencing policy and practice in primary care.

Sandra Lawton QN has won the Stone Achievement Award, presented by the British Dermatological Nursing Group (BDNG).
The Stone Award is named after the founder of the BDNG and first recipient of the Award, Lynette Stone. It is a means of recognising the work of an individual who have made a consistently great contribution in the field of dermatology nursing. Nominations are accepted from within the field of dermatology and the Award is judged by the BDNG Executive Committee. Our congratulations go to Sandra.
