Corporate partnerships - professional activities
The QNI Fund for Innovation provides funding and a programme of professional development innovative community nurse-led projects. We have supported over 150 projects to date, improving healthcare access for patient groups across England, Wales and Northern Ireland who would otherwise face significant barriers in accessing services appropriate to need.
With over 200 members, the Nurse Partner Network plays a key role in providing information to nurse partners seeking practice-based partnerships with GPs and other healthcare professionals. Support is essential if this influential body of community-based nurses are totake advantage of the new opportunities presented by partnership working. Membership of the programme is continuing to grow and sponsorship of the Nurse Partner Programme would represent a significant resource boost to this increasingly high-profile professional body.
The Queen’s Nurse Learning Set represents a unique and exciting opportunity to support a growing body of nurses who, having been assessed as upholding the very highest standards in community-based patient care have been awarded the title of Queen’s Nurse.
The Community Nursing eForum has grown to over 200 members, including frontline nurses, managers and educators. Their opinions help shape our work in influencing healthcare policy. We are currently seeking sponsorship to bring members of the forum together in a workshop setting early in 2008 to discuss the fundamental changes to nurse education being proposed by the four UK health departments.
