Why we need your support
The community nurse is the unsung hero of healthcare. Working outside of hospitals, they care for millions of people every year making sure that they can remain at home, where they want to be, right to the end of their lives. Yet community nursing is stretched as never before, especially as people live longer and more people have long term health conditions.
The QNI is THE charity dedicated to ensuring that people receive high quality nursing at home.
- We fund special projects to improve the care of patients with illnesses such as dementia, cancer, and stroke
- We help our dedicated and committed ‘Queen’s Nurses’ to be leaders and role models to others
- We work with policy makers and planners of health services to influence nurse education and how services organised and staffed
- We provide essential financial support to community nurses in need.
Because we are not part of the NHS, we receive no regular government funding to help continue our work.
