Help for Nurses
In 2018, The QNI awarded over £83,000 in grants to community nurses who were experiencing financial difficulties for a variety of reasons.
We look at every case on an individual basis and in 2018 we helped 97 nurses, working and retired, who needed our help.
Most nurses who receive help from the QNI are going through a time of personal crisis. This may include physical or mental illness, trying to escape domestic abuse, or experiencing other life crises, such as eviction, family health problems, marriage breakdown or bereavement.
If you are having to self-isolate due to Covid-19 and your income (or family income) has been severely reduced, please get in touch with [email protected] or [email protected] to find out if we can help.
If you are concerned about the effects of Britain leaving the European Union, please visit the NMC website for advice.
As well as grants for nurses in financial difficulty, we also offer educational grants to community nurses who are in financial need.
Please note we cannot help nurses in Scotland, instead please contact QNI Scotland.
