Primary Care Network Clinical Director Leadership Programme
24 July 2019
The Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI) has announced an exciting new leadership programme for clinicians in England.
The QNI has developed a bespoke programme for people taking up the role of Primary Care Network (PCN) Clinical Director, based on the successful leadership programmes that the charity has delivered in recent years.
As an organisation the QNI is focused on leadership, encouraging practitioners to influence strategically the way in which patients are cared for in the community. We view the PCN Clinical Director role as an ideal opportunity for nurses and GPs to be able to shape primary care services, as part of the NHS Long Term Plan.
Who is it for?
The programme is designed for newly appointed PCN Clinical Directors and is open to all clinicians who have been appointed to that role. The QNI has consulted widely during the development process, including with the Primary Care Directorate of NHS England.
How long is it?
The programme is fourteen days duration in total and will be delivered as a combination of residential and study days over six months.
The course fee is £5300 per person and this includes all accommodation, meals, tuition, mentoring, visit to practice, support throughout and final celebration event. Travel costs are not included. VAT is not applicable. We are grateful to NHSE/I for contributing towards the cost of this programme.
