Queen’s Nurse to become Mayor of Waltham Forest

Queen’s Nurse Yemisi Osho will become the new Mayor of the London Borough of Waltham Forest at a ceremony later this week.
The Annual General Meeting of the Council will witness her official election after the current Mayor steps down. The ceremony will take place at Walthamstow Town Hall on 25 May.
Yemisi was elected as a Labour Councillor for Lea Bridge ward in 2014.
Dr Crystal Oldman, the QNI’s Chief Executive said, ‘This is a remarkable achievement and we are thrilled to see Yemi being elected to this position.’
Yemisi is an Urgent Care Consultant and Service Transformation Project Lead at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. She became a Queen’s Nurse in January 2012.
