Community Learning Disability Nursing Education and Practice Standards
The Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI) and Queen’s Nursing Institute Scotland (QNIS) are developing new Voluntary Standards to support Community Learning Disability Nurse (CLDN) specialist practitioner Education and Practice across the four countries of the UK.
These standards will enhance the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) specialist practice standards for Community Learning Disability Nursing (CLDN), in order to reflect the current practice of the modern-day CLDN Specialist Practitioner.
It is essential to gain an insight to the challenges and experiences of Learning Disability Nurses working in the community setting and vital that their contributions are reflected in the development of these new voluntary standards.
