Clare has over 35 years’ experience of working in the NHS at national and local level, having held a variety of senior nursing and managerial positions at Board level.
Most recently Clare was the Chief Executive of Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust. Clare has worked with the national nursing directorate at NHS Improvement and currently provides senior community nursing advice to NHS X.
Clare trained as a nurse in University College Hospital, London and worked there until moving into community nursing in London. She completed her District Nursing specialist practitioner qualification in 1990 and continued her studies to become a Nurse Practitioner, and achieved a BSc (Hons) Health Studies degree from the University of Manchester.
Clare’s particular areas of interest are community health services, leadership, inclusion and strategic systems’ working. Clare also works as an Executive Coach and is currently studying for her post graduate diploma with the ILM.
