Matthew joined the QNI in 2008, managing communications, marketing and branding for the charity.
He has worked for a number of voluntary organisations in the UK and the US, in areas including health education, youth work, environment, wildlife and heritage.
He also worked for the Charity Commission for England and Wales from 1998 to 2001.
His garden in Tottenham, North London will be open to the public for the National Garden Scheme on Sunday 7 June 2020. The National Garden Scheme is the QNI’s biggest single funder, and also funds a number of other nursing and caring charities.
Matthew studied Modern History at Lincoln College, Oxford. As an amateur historian, he also manages the QNI’s archive.
